How Do People Get So Many?
Horses can be bought, bred, and won in contests. Horses take money to take care of, but unless you age your horse, it will not cost you anything and they will not age.
How Does Their Time System Work?
Horses on Howrse wake up at 8:00., unless you have Nyx's Star (can be found in a Nyx's Pack), and should be asleep by 22:00 in order for them to have maximum energy the next day, but they can go to sleep at 24:00 if necessary. Their energy will be low the next day.
How Do I Train Them?
Their are training and BLUPing guides on some of the other pages, you should look there, as it would be too long to explain in this spot.
How Do I Put Black Market Items On Them?
The Black Market is in your breeder's tab. It is the 6th one down. If you click on it, and scroll to the bottom of your page, you can see your inventory. (You can also see your inventory in the store). If you have an item, find it in one of the blocks, and click on it. Once you open up the item, you will be able to choose which horse is goes on and if you want to buy it with passes or use one from your inventory.
How Do I Sell Them?
There is a circular on top of the horse's name. It should have a plus on it. If you click on that, the second one down on the list is Sell. If you click on it, you will have the option to sell, post a classified ad on it, or send it to the safe haven. You can also go to your breeder's tab, click sales, and click sell a horse.
How Do I Put An Affix On Them?
You can only put an affix on a horse if you have bred it. Once again, go to the plus symbol in the circle on top of your horse's name, click rename (first option), and you can change the name and choose an affix. If you do not have one made, you can make one.
How Do I Change Their Breeding Farm?
Once again, go to the plus symbol in the circle on the top of your horse's name. Click change the breeding farm, and you will have a scroll box appear. Choose which breeding farm you would like. If you do not have a breeding farm yet, go to your breeder's tab, click my horses, and to the farm right of the tabs there is a plus symbol. Fill out all of the information and create your breeding farm!
How Do I Board My Horse and Why Is It Necessary?
If you go to your horse's page, at the top right, will be the equestrian center information. If your horse is not registered, you will be given the option to register your horse. If you horse is already registered, it will list the equestrian center and all of its information. Boarding at an equestrian center enables you to put your horse into the meadow and box for a certain amount of time, enables you to put them to bed, enables you to let your mare give birth (if the mare is boarded while the baby is still in its 6- month- period, it enables you to give it carrots), and enables you to give them health mashes. You can first board your horse when it turns 6 months old.

On your horse's page, in the top left, there is a whole bunch of things you can do to keep your horse fit and healthy. First, striaght out, you do not need to worry about knowing how much to give your horse. It tells you after you are done with everything. But, if you horse is overwiehgt or underweight, you have to do a little tweaking. You have the option to give hay and grain, just like you would give to a real horse. You can also give your horse water, turnips, carrots, stroke it, groom it, put it to bed, and age it in that section. Previously, you could give your own horse apples, but now you are only able to give other people's horses apples. You can also give your horses health, calorific, and energy mashes. You can buy the energy and calorific mashes in the store, but the equestrian center provides the health mashes. Not all have them so that is something to look for when finding an EC (equestrian center). It is a little different with foals, as they are still nursing. You can only give them milk up to a certain point. (6 months old, when you can also start boarding your horse). After that, between the ages of 6 months and 2, you can only give your horse hay. After 2, you can start feeding everything to your horse.

Companions are animals that keep your horse "company". You can find them in the shop, in special promotions, and some you can find by looking in the item trading place. You can give them to your horse when it turns 8. Between 8 and 18 months, their companions improve their genetic potential. From 20 months to 25 years, they give the horses a skill bonus (max. 60 point per horse) and an equus bonus. The more expensive the pet, the greater you and your horse can benefit.

The shop contains many things, including tack for your horse. You can either buy tack from there, or use the equestrian center's tack (Equestrian centers with saddles have tack which can be offered.) You can also buy "special" tack from the black market using passes. Be careful though- if you are going to do western events, get western tack. If you are going to do english events, get english tack. The more expensive the tack, the better gain it gives your horse. To put tack on your horse, you must first buy it. Go to your breeder's tab, click on the store, and the second tab will say equipment. Click on that. You will need a saddle, bridle, and horseshoes. Once you have done so, go to your horse's page, and in the bottom right corner, the second to last box, will be labeled Equipment. You can then add the saddle, bridle, and horseshoes.
