Regarding blupping your horses.
Many people have questions about what blup is and how to blup a horse. This thread is intended to help answer some of those questions.
Please feel free to join in and post any schedules that you may have that you have tested and found to work for you. All tips for all breeds are encouraged. We also encourage people to help each other with tips on how to get those elusive 20 wins that are required to get your horse to 100 blup.
The following is a little info about what blup is and what you need, to get to 100 blup.
Best Linear Unbiased Prediction
The BLUP is a genetic index. It plays a role in reproduction. It is therefore recommended that you select trained horses as reproducers and those that have excelled in competitions.
To have the best reproducers and have every chance of having the best foals possible, it is preferable to select horses with a high, or at least a positive, BLUP, i.e. mainly well trained individuals.
Blup starts at -100 and can reach +100 (that means that there are a total of 200 blup points available for every horse.)
You get 130 points for completed training in your best three skills, this includes rides and comps., the skill must go bold before this requirement is met.
40 points for reaching the age of 10
30 points for winning 20 competitions.
All these points are gained over time a little each day until you reach 100.
You cannot see the blup until you reach riding level 4.
If you want to read more about it, it is in the breeders manual under genetics
